Suffering comes. But for those who belong to Jesus, so does His comfort. As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, our consolation also abounds through Christ. Paul experienced this personally. Jesus comforted him in his affliction, enabling him to endure, comfort others, and bring the gospel of salvation to the Corinthians. The same comfort is available to every Christian through the same Savior. God works even through our suffering to draw others to Christ. Join us this Sunday at Calvary Chapel Waterford as we study 2 Corinthians 1:1–7 and the abundant comfort Jesus gives us in our suffering.
