This Sunday at Calvary Chapel Waterford, we continue through 1 Corinthians 14 as Paul compares and contrasts the spiritual gifts of tongues and prophecy. Both are gifts of the Holy Spirit, but Paul shows why their purpose and use within the church are different. At the center of it all is his command: “Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts.” God does not call us to choose between love and the work of the Spirit. We are to earnestly seek both, while remembering that spiritual gifts are given to glorify Christ and build up His people. Join us Sunday as we study why love must govern every gift.
